And if dub styles ain’t your thing, we also have the tablist antics of The Allies (better known as “the crew A-Trak was in before he became Kanye’s DJ and cut B-More tracks), a rare Max Romeo cut that represents one of the rare Jamaican forays into more traditional Al Green soul kinda territory, Todd Rundgren in Runt mode and the sweet blues wailings of Freddie King’s “Woman Across The River”…
Underpinning it all as ever is chat covering the rise and fall of 99 Records, the strange collabs of the early 80′s, the merits (or not) of remastered LPs, the downfall of turntablism, how the internet killed everything and, naturally, Tom’s abject inability to pronounce any act’s name correctly.
