iheartdubstep-artFinally! Apologies all -- getting this show podcast has been a task akin to the Homer’s Odyssey, leading me to wonder if the spirits somewhere detected that this show May Contain Dubstep.

Yes, dubstep.

Alarmingly it was Tom’s turn this week to break out his inner Grumpy Old Man, with an inspired rant about the new Fourtet Joy Orbison remix which bears striking similarities to the broken beat scene led by Victor Duplaix among others. With a gentle track from Laura Veirs and a nod to the ‘Ardkore days with Lennie De Ice it amounts to the usual smorgasbord of wide focus music selection. You love it. Go get some.

Tracklisting:
J:Kenzo “Conqueror”
Coventry Automatics “Look But Don’t Touch”
Fourtet “Love cry (Joy Orbison Remix)”
Nepa “You Know What You’re Supposed To Do”
Victor Duplaix “Manhood”
Laura Veirs “Where Are You Driving?”
Lennie De Ice “We Are I.E.”
Lorez Alexandria “Baltimore Oriole”
Emika “Drop The Other (Scuba RMX)”

Soundbed this week was a more obscure release on Domino: side A of Cinema Recorded Music Library’s “P Beretta”…

Featured video this week is not so much a video but a reference point. In the show I (Trick) mention Oxford ‘Ardkore as a fine example of the homespun rave tracks that briefly flooded indie dance stores of note all around the Orbital. Well, some kind soul has posted it onto YouTube, thereby saving me the trouble… Enjoy!
