This Wednesday’s theme show: The Shock Of The New.1

We’re keeping things simple for this month’s special, the brief was a no-brainer – records which came out this year, the more recent the better. A wild idea I know but with thousands upon thousands of old tracks between us and a mutual hatred for functional remix drenched promos, this hasn’t been the easy task I originally envisioned.

Of course we could easily show up with a load of blog-friendly dancefloor tracks or any number of promos which open with “blah blah blah Detroit blah blah blah” but maybe, just maybe, there’s still a wealth of new material which defies the norm, waves two fingers at the current cognoscenti and begs the question “why aren’t they playing this on daytime radio?”

Wishful thinking as ever, we can but dream…
